Family Medical Insurance

Billy Mays- iCan Commercial

Wow, this sounds amazing.  Who can afford family medical insurance in this day and age if you don't get any from your work?  According to Billy Mays, we all can.  But is it that easy?  I do want to trust Billy Mays in this area of family medical insurance, but is he a pro at this?  And do I want to make the call and then get roped into lots of follow up calls or salesmen calling having gotten my name for "somewhere."  How much research have you done in this area of family medical insurance?  I haven't done much in the last few years.  I think 2004 may have been the last time I searched for the best overall deal in family medical insurance.  And, no, I didn't end up getting any.

Should I Just Take My Chances?

With the current fight over whether or not we are going to have government run health care and/or insurance, I am not even sure whether I should get family medical insurance anymore.  Soon we will all be insured, right?  I am trying to live life more simply and not add more bills to my already stretched thin budget.  So, what do I do?  I guess I could, at least, call and see what kind of rates I can get for Family Medical Insurance from iCan.  I could also check around on the Internet and see if there are any cheaper options out there.  Then there is the "I'll take my chances" mindset.  It's not a bad idea; take some money each month and set it aside to pay any medical bills you may have with that family medical insurance premium you may have decided to purchase.

You Have To Think Of The Kids

Once you have children, things become much more complicated when it comes to spending your money and having, or not having, family medical insurance.  Even giving birth can be complicated and very spendy.  Then what happens if your child is sickly or accident prone?  And once you or your child is diagnosed with some illness, it is very difficult to get family medical insurance for that illness at all.  Unlike adults, children need much more frequent doctor's visits, checkups, dental exams and cleanings, immunizations, etc.

Take Your Time And Get What You Really Need

So you need to take your time and get what you really need for your family medical insurance.  Remember, time is money so spend your money wisely so you don't have to go spend time making more money.  Simple is better and the basics is all you need.
